What I’ve loved this week…
If like me you just had a little panic attack reading the date December 12th this first favorite is for you. The Bon Appetit Holiday Survival Guide. Hot off the presses this morning, and since I’m having a little freak out about my lack of holiday preparedness it is my top pick for the week!
Now to escape the holiday drama with a travel bucket list from VinePair with 16 Places in France Every Wine Lover Needs To Put On Their Bucket List

The growing trend of ‘Women Who Whisky‘ proving that whisky is not just for the old boys!
Lastly this lovely story of Christmas in Iceland from Saveur that will warm your foodie heart.
What I’ve been drinking this week…
Still continuing happily on my Whisky Advent Calendar. If you recall I picked mine up at a local liquor store and the calendar itself produced in Calgary, Alberta by Secret Spirits. With over 50% of the whisky’s included being 18 years or older it is going to be a very merry Christmas! The stand out this week for me was surprisingly a blended malt from Weymss Lord Echo 15 year old. Blended can be good, who knew?! On the nose it smelled of fresh caramel and cinnamon pastry. On the palate it was surprisingly sophisticated, with more caramel flavors and maybe a bit of apple. Weymss is fast becoming a favorite of mine!
In the wine world I attended a brilliant tasting this week ‘All I want for Christmas’ at a local shop Color de Vino. Stay tuned over the weekend as I will be sharing with all of you the wines we tasted just in time to stock up for holiday parties.
What Coco & Tom have loved this week…
I almost have to say time out. They have been misbehaving all week so the treats have been fairly limited. I did get them a holiday treat last weekend Holiday Soft and Chewy Buddy Biscuits Gingerbread that is a big hit. Hopefully they improve and get to enjoy them again 😉
